Bangladesh 13 Thailand 0
Bangladesh began their Asia Cup campaign with a 13 goal flourish that left
Thailand battered in the day’s second match of the Asia Cup here in Chennai on
Friday.
After Bangladesh had punctured the Thai defence with four goals in the first
half, they virtually tore them apart in the second with nine goals. It will be
tough for Thailand to recover from the 13-0 mauling.
Bangladesh team manager was understandably happy with the performance and said,
“I hope we could raise our level further against tougher teams in our Pool.”
In the other matches in Pool B, Bangladesh would face tougher opponents in
India, Korea and China.
With nine goals coming off field attempts, Bangladesh would be happy that their
forwards are into some sort of rhythm, even though the quality of the opposition
was nothing to talk about.
